In one of the different strategies and dramatic restart between the front contestants, JR Motorsports Connor Zilisch prevailed in the late race race to the volatile flag in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, exploring Mountains Pocono 250 in Pocono (PA) – the first technician of OVAL in this small profession.
The late race determined to determine today today, and in the end it reached a duel between Zilisch and his best friend, last year, Jesse Loew. Zilisch pulled the number 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet alongside the Love Car while crossing the start/end with four rolls to go, then took the initiative with three remaining rolls-437 seconds in the field.
This type of firm day was for the 18 -year -old Zilisch, who received some major assistance in his headphones from the crew head for the first time. The owner of his team, Nascar Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. The Mardili team captain Lindley, who was spending one offer.
The DayTona 500 winner is not called twice, and it is an icon in this sport. The race is not called from the hole box on the top of the Zilisch, but he climbed and helped the pits stop. It was very ecstasy after the race in his first appearance calling for shots. He is the head of the fifth crew this season to win his first victory in the Xfinity series.
“Just a great job we put in a situation that enables us to succeed, we had a lot of things on our way, a lot of good luck, and a good race strategy, he got a little help from (former NASCAC Cup leader Steve Lett), one of the Ernhards said a wide smile, applauding Lindley’s willingness to the weekend.
“Ahead of everyone in this team,” continued. “It was amazing throughout the weekend. Wonderful racing car driver. Connor Zilish will be a big problem in this sport for a long time. A lot of fun for me today.”
Zilisch was likely, as he had to work hard for this victory, the second of the season. Ten warning flags in the afternoon caused the creation of various strategies and a real test of restart skills.
“I was dying for this time now, I was very close to the oval recently,” Zilish said. “I finished second in Charlotte, the second in Nashville.
“And Junior is not very bad in the box,” he said, smiling. “Very cool to be there. Thank you very much for the entire JR MotorsPorts
Throughout the day, the biggest challenge of Zilisch came in the forefront of the former Naskar Cup champion Chis Elliot, who competes in both Xfinity and CUP chain races this week. Elliott led most of the windings – 38 out of 100 compared to the Zilisch’s 34 out Front.
Elliot and the current series of the series, JR Motorsports Justin Allgaier, was in restarting with 13 rolls. While competing for the lead, they almost gathered and had to take irradiation measures so as not to collide.
Love took advantage of the position and came from the second row to a demand for the race in the Richard Childress Chevrolet Race 2. The caution came out as soon as love moved to the front, allowing Zilisch to start directly behind this final restart – leaving the cup to the two friends to make a decision.
“This is the most focused in which I was absolutely in a race car, I didn’t want Connor to hit me because I would hear about it for a long time,” Loew said with a smile. “Hats on him. He was running a good race. Once I was able to get a draft, I managed to return to him. But this brings me out, I will not lie, but I am still trying to be grateful because we have fast racing cars and I am in a position that allows them to win. Hats to Connor.”
The other ascending toured the third place among the three best years, as Christian Ikees of College Rising Ekeis ranked third in Chevrolet 16. Elliot ranked fourth and Ryan Sig ranked fifth in Ford owned by families.
Carason Kafabel, Wissam Mayer, Sami Smith, rising Taylor Gray, and Justin Aghayre assembled the best 10.
Allgaier, the ruling champion, is now the 82 -point tournament feature on Austin Hill from RCR, which was collected in an early race accident and ranked thirty -third.
The NASCAR Xfinity series is transferred to Atlanta for Friday night, which focuses 250 in Echopark Speedway (7:30 pm Easter on CW, PRN, Radio Siriusxm Nascar). Hill won the last three Atlanta races – the latest in February.
