AIU suspends Mercyline Chelangat for doping

The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has suspended Mercyline Chelangat of Uganda for Presence/Use of a Prohibited Substance (Testosterone), which is a breach of the World Anti-doping Agency

The 28 year-old who is the 2028 Commonwealth Games 10,000m bronze medallist, has been issued with a notice of charge.

Chelangat who is a mother of one, held the Ugandan Half Marathon record in 2021 and went on to become the 2022 Ugandan cross country champion.
